Our mission is to discover, recognize and encourage emerging voices through the annual creative nonfiction and fiction FIRST PAGES PRIZE awards.

With a heavy heart, we announce that the First Pages Prize is closing.

We want to express our deep appreciation to the many readers, agents, mentors, and most importantly, the thousands of emerging writers whose work we have been honored to read since we opened in 2019.

OUR HISTORY & YOUR SUCCESS

In six years, the FIRST PAGES PRIZE has awarded $95,000 USD in prize packages to over 50 emerging writers in 8 countries.

Past winners have gone on to secure agents, publish books, win further awards, finish manuscripts…and renew their belief in writing.
